This building extends the lessons learned at the SITE building, refining and honing the detailing rigour and adding layers of fluid delight. The galleria arc is more defined; its wind trusses are horizontal rather than vertical. The combined result demonstrates the benefits of working in a series versus attempting perfection in one ‘one-of-a-kind’ after another. ATAC is richer for its architect’s ‘past’.

It takes its place along the pedestrian ‘mall’ where it creates its ‘rotunda’ court face. An arced colonnaded ‘tiara’ topped transparent face welcomes everyone who comes in from the campus’ vehicular side. Its third face engages everyone, once again, as they move from their cars to the walking street that connects all campus buildings.
